I really need to update here more often, because when massive things happen in my life I really have no good excuse for not updating!

On February 5th, Vince and I got engaged! February 5th was our 7th anniversary so we went up to the Lakes for the weekend. We got there late afternoon and it had been snowing quite heavily, so we decided to turn back around and go home instead of potentially getting snowed in! So to make up for it, Vince took us to the Formby pine woods, which is where he popped the question…

So now we have the huge, intimidating task of planning our wedding. We’re hoping to get married in 2014, assuming we have the money. It’s so exciting (and stressful)!

Also, and completely unrelated, this blog has a new sidebar that I’ve been practicing my jQuery skills on. I’m also thinking of changing the background to a slideshow, or at least changing the image regularly.

We went to Cheshire Oaks to do some Christmas shopping this afternoon and they have their tree up already~

I wanted to get the US National Park sign in somewhere but wherever I put it, it looked out of place. I might add it in somewhere else.

Hopefully having a new layout will motivate me to blog a little more! (I think I say this every time I change it..)

I’ve been learning the rising trot, which I think I’ve just about got the hang of. I’m having trouble with keeping my toes up/heels down – I’ll get them in the right place and then as soon as I start thinking about something else, they’ll be back facing the ground. I think I will eventually get the hang of it but it may take awhile!

Vince came with me last week and took a quick video of me trotting on Ginny. This is the first time I’ve been able to keep going for more than one lap…

So I was very lucky to see one of my favourite bands of all time live this week – Weezer! They were more amazing live than I ever imagined and I’m so, so glad I got to see them in London. I honestly thought I’d have to plan a trip to the States if I ever wanted to see them. The set list included so many of my favourite songs – I even love the two cover songs they did! I’ve been listening to Weezer since senior school and it was SO GOOD to see them in the UK. I really hope they come back soon (and maybe come a little further north than London..).

Can’t wait for this~ But also terrified of the whole franchise coming to an end!

Hmm, OK.. How about my favourite gig I’ve been to? I’ve loved every McFly gig I’ve ever been to but I think one that will always stand out is a gig they did in Nantwich in 2008. Vince and I went down early to get near the front in standing. The organisers weren’t happy with everyone queuing up so early, so we decided to find something to do until we could go back.

It was amazing weather so we went for a drive and found a maze on a nearby farm This was ridiculously fun and took up a few hours. We got some lunch and then went back to que for McFly. We were eventually let into the field where the stage was – we ended up 4 rows from the front on Tom’s side.

Go:Audio and Reemer were supporting – both had some great catchy tunes and were great warm-ups for McFly. McFly were playing through their Radio:Active setlist which was new at the time. It’s definitely one of the best gigs I’ve been to <3
